Robert Charleston
Author
Robert Charleston is a former military linguist, veteran of the Afghanistan War, and new author with Tactical 16. While in uniform, he worked as an intelligence analyst and also taught at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California, where he earned distinction as a Master Military Language Instructor during his years on staff.
Robert’s new book, Knight Rising, is a fictional narrative tracing the turbulent romance between two veterans over 15 years. Multiple locations, including a Texas prison to locales around the United States and in the Middle East, serve as the backdrop.

Born in Manhattan and raised in northern New Jersey, Philip was a Navy engineer, day trader, merchant mariner, locksmith and is a writer, tech worker, serious softball player and student of languages.

MC Gowan
Author
MC grew up in New Jersey, near New York City. MC is an Eagle Scout. He graduated in 1977 from the Virginia Military Institute with a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering and commissioned in the US Navy.
MC did almost 6 years active duty including 3 deployments to the Middle East. He joined the Naval Reserve after the Marine barracks was bombed in Lebanon.
Afterwards he worked as a system test engineer for Boeing, then Lockheed Martin.
MC retired in 2003 as a Captain. He is married and has 2 children. He likes to hunt, fish, and drink black coffee.

Ruth Anne Kramer
Author
Ruth “Anne” Kramer advocates for women, military spouses, and ALL Veterans.
Anne is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She received her Master of Social Work (MSW) with a medical specialization from the Catholic University of America of Washington, D.C., following her eight years of service as a Signal Corps Officer in the United States Army.
Anne currently serves as a therapist in Trauma Recovery Services with the Department of Veterans Affairs. She also volunteers with the American Red Cross.

Stewart "ST" Blackwell
Author
Enlisting in the Marine Corps infantry in 2007, ST deployed six times, including a combat tour to Marjah, Afghanistan, a rapid response mission to Sana’a, Yemen, Guantanamo Bay, and multiple Marine Expeditionary Units. After returning to civilian life, ST sought out contract employment overseas at the US Embassy and international airport in Kabul, Afghanistan.
ST lives in Mississippi with his wife and two sons. His hope is that his book provides readers with an enlightened view of today’s warriors fighting to build a better world for generations to come.

Taylor Cleveland
Author
Taylor Cleveland was born in Conneaut, Ohio, a small community that his Nine Times Great Grand Father founded in 1796. He currently works there as a Police Detective.
After September 11th, Taylor volunteered as a US Navy Reserves Corpsman. He deployed to the Al-Anbar Province of Iraq in 2005 as the senior line company corpsman for India Company, 3rd Battalion, 25th Marine Regiment.
He has been married to his wife, Louise, for 23 years. They have three children.

John Morrin
Author
John served his country honorably by enlisting in the United States Marine Corps at 19 years old, where he had five overseas deployments, totaling three and a half years spent on foreign soil. He has been both the warrior and the tradesman, the storyteller and the fool. John currently resides in Ohio with his beautiful wife, who has been the most instrumental part of his recovery, and their three dogs: Athena, Titan, and Bowie

Ward Mayfield served as a combat engineer twice in Iraq and once in Afghanistan, completing more than 300 missions clearing routes, and detecting and removing improvised explosive devices (IEDs) from roadways for safe travel by U.S. forces.

At 15 years old, Jordan ran away from home to join the military, but was too young to enlist so, he worked in the shipyards as a copper smith. At 16 years old, he cranked planes for Chinese Army cadets during WWII. In 1944, twenty days after turning 17, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy during the battle in the South Pacific. He watched as the flag was raised at Iwo Jima.

Like most young men after watching the Twin Towers fall in 2001, JP knew he wanted to join the military when he was old enough to do so. As a combat engineer, he was deployed to Afghanistan. On July 2nd, 2011, his RG31 truck was penetrated by a 200lb IED while on a mission.
